The Yottabyte Blog

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI–(Marketwired – Jan 28, 2016) – Yottabyte, a software-defined datacenter start-up, today announced that it has been named a Tech Trailblazer Award finalist in the virtualization category.

The Tech Trailblazer Awards are specifically designed for start-ups and are judged by a global panel of technology experts as well as the voting tech public. The awards program recognizes privately-held organizations around the world that are developing innovative solutions. The finalists have been selected through an initial judging round determined by a diverse panel of technology industry experts.

Chief Trailblazer Rose Ross said: “This year has been phenomenal again for startup talent and unsurprisingly the quality of the finalists reflects that. We have also seen previous winners go from strength to strength and we are looking forward to seeing who will be following in their startup footsteps. Our esteemed judges and the Tech Trailblazing team wish all the finalists the best of luck.”

yCenter, Yottabyte’s cloud-building software, creates a virtual datacenter environment that incorporates storage, compute and networking. It makes it possible for users to deploy applications; provision virtual datacenters, virtual machines, virtual networks and storage; and reconfigure this infrastructure in seconds. yCenter is available on YottaBlox, Intel-based hardware, enabling it to take advantage of many forms of hardware acceleration. This provides high performance without traditional high rack space, power and cooling requirements.

“We are honored to be named as a Tech Trailblazer Award finalist alongside other virtualization innovators seeking to disrupt the status quo,” said Paul E. Hodges, III, CEO at Yottabyte. “This is further validation for what our customers and partners have been saying. The market wants private and hybrid cloud-building technology that is cost-effective, and easy to implement, use and manage — simply put, a consumable cloud.”

Public voting for the Tech Trailblazer Awards will be open until February 12 at http://www.techtrailblazers.com/award-categories/.
